A WoW Video Worth Watching

Just wanted to say thanks for all the guesses on my “Name that Game” video and the answer was..

Congrats to Magus who was the first to guess correctly! I’ve been really excited for The Maw ever since I played a demo at PAX 2007. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather lately, so I figured this week would be a total “play-Maw-in-bed-week”. /nerd

Because of all of your support, I’ve got tons of new ideas for posts.. including a special video about Fallout 3. I’ll be posting the link to my CES pictures, as I’ve finally got them all edited, so look out for those as well.

Okay, down to business..

Ever since what I call my “dark basement-geek period” I have tried to stay away from all things World of Warcraft. I refuse to play no matter how many free trials I’m offered – get those WoW miniatures out of my face and just forget about the card game. However, when I was shown this video (thanks J4nk H4nk) I actually found it to be something I have a healthy addiction to. For those who have never played or don’t like WoW, this video is still worth your time – trust me.

At first I didn’t think the main theme music was right, but by the end I thought it was perfect!

    Altogether awesome, really!

    I hope there’s more to come…

I definitely like when people make machinima that’s more “serious”. You can only have so much comedy(Red vs. Blue for example). Machinima doesn’t always have to be funny.

I don’t like WoW, but they put Namie Amuro for the music, so all of a sudden I like it! I have no clue what was happening the entire time other than some red chick killing people, so it was cool.

Nice vid. That mage made my night. Ownage at its finest.
