Gaming for Charity – Rocking Out at Ümloud 2009
The holiday season. A season of cheer, of change, (hope you like my new site design) and charities. Most people think of charities as stuffing a dollar or two in the red bucket that the Salvation Army guys encourage you to do by ringing their bells outside of Wal-marts.
If you’re like me, you’ve always wanted to “give back” but in a way that compliments your… talents. In my case, it was gaming – so the Umloud Charity Event in San Francisco is right up my alley. So here we are playing Rockband to help sick children have presents this Christmas.
“Community based charity grown and nurtured from the game culture and industry. Over 5 million dollars in donations of toys, games, books and cash for sick kids in children’s hospitals across North America and the world have been collected since our inception.” – Charity’s Website
Here is a video of my experience with Umloud, Childsplay and some fun time touring around San Francisco.
