It’s a Squirrelly Job..

…but somebody’s gotta’ do it!

Over the weekend I found this 4 week old squirrel abandoned in the parking lot of my apartment complex.. with the help of my neighbors we have given him a cozy warm bed, electrolyte water and are taking care of him until we can find some wildlife specialist to take over.

EDIT: We have found a home for Buddy at the Sacramento Wildlife Care Association.. they took him out of the cozy towel-lined cat carrier he was in and whisked him away without a word. I didn’t get to say goodbye to him, but finding him a good place for him to grow was all that I really needed.

  • awww how cute. he’s so adorable 🙂
    happy you helped him 🙂

He looks lovely. Well done to you for taking good care of him.

  • That was really cool of you and your neighbors to rescue the poor little squirrel. I love animals and I can’t stand to see them in pain or suffering. What you did was truly awesome and now the squirrel can hopefully recover and live a full life. I love reading about stories like this.

  • Aww too cute..It was very nice of you to take care of the squirrel. I see you have a good heart!

  • How cute! A few years ago, we rescued a baby chipmunk. Fortunately, he was able to take care of himself (or herself, we named her Michele) and, also fortunately, we have some nice cozy woods behind our house.

  • Nice and valuable info. I’m going to sign up to your website. Thnx. continue the excellent work

    • A million thanks for posting this ifnoarmtion.

this squirrel is really cute. It i s so kind of you to have rescued that poor squirrel. not all people are doing that now. Can you still visit the squirrel in its new place? this reminds me of the movie Hachiko.
