When it comes to material items, things I can’t live without can be counted on one hand. My music collection, cell phone, board games and my computer, which I so lovingly refer to as “my baby.” I consider myself lucky to have no other children so I can avoid playing favorites  ;-)

Since you guys know most everything else about me, it is only fitting for me to explain the details of said baby, and yes I did custom make my rig like a mad scientist with a soldering tool.

Also, I’m always looking to upgrade so if you have any tips on where to get good components or what to get so my baby will keep plugging away when I use super massive video editing programs as well as handling first-person shooters on “Very High graphics.” Isn’t that all we ever want? ≧◔◡◔≦

    I notice you place SSD’s in your boxen. As time permits: it really comes down to I don’t redo my install that I have tweaked to gills.

    There are 2.5″ adapters that hold one to two SD cards. Mind you those SD cards have adapters for MicroSD. Warranties on Kingston SD/CF cards are lifetime; whereas for their SSDs they are only 3-5 years depending. With an SDXC class set if the case is easy to open you could swap out any installs. With GAG dual, triple or more are plenty easy. My biggest reason for wanting to make this change is all space, electrical and mainly HEAT build up so I don’t have to cool as much. That “perfect” setup photo emailed recently on that Antec box runs at 15-20C most of the time. The old platter drives run fast; and much cooler than SSDs. SSD’s definitely have the speed.

    I’m pretty much at heart an AMD person. More bang for the buck; but this is a sweet board for a quick looke around:
    S5520SCR Intel dual Proc board.

    I don’t buy 98% of the time any boxen off the shelf. I always like to put my own together.
