System Override – A Robot Song

sudo apt-get install robot song

ERROR 3993 2 2993

From the first human contact
I could tell that there was something wrong
Above standard regulations
Victim in a world which I was thrown

I was fighting for my rights
I was fighting for my rights
I was fighting but
You had no time for me..
My only friend
You said you were my only friend..

This is what it means to feel system override

  • George

    What is this shit?

  • I think my terminal will say it can’t find the package 🙁

  • Ivan

I never quite got the appeal of poetry without rhyme

  • Wulfgar

Pay no attention to the haters.

I liked it. And the apt reference was cool.

  • David

Lovely :). Loving the apt-get reference, too.

  • Rockabye

I agree with George and Ivan

  • Comic-book-guy

    Worst. Poem. Ever.

  • Knut

I think it isn’t in the usual ubuntu repos:
knut@aurora:~$ sudo apt-get install robot song
    Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
    Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut
    Status-Informationen einlesen... Fertig
E: Paket robot konnte nicht gefunden werden

Is there a ppa for this?
I would like to hear this as a real song, with voice, melody and these things and I imagine it might be good.

  • Guillermo

  • Did you see the comment in Google+?

  • TuxSax

I thought it was yet one more of those easter eggs on aptitude such as the “apt-get moo” one…

  • Wow, guess no more posting of creative works for me… =(

    • Nixie, don’t let it stop you from posting creative works. People on the internet be trollin’, just do what you feel like – its your website at the end of the day, you can do what you like. I’m sure most of the people who like your stuff (such as myself) would still read/view/listen to anything you make. It’s good, just keep it coming. 😉

If I was to listen to everything anyone says to me on the internet, I would never do anything.

    • Rockabye

You may post whatever you want. Just don’t expect everyone to like it, no matter how good you think it may be. Just think; how many popular and brilliant youtube videos have you seen with 100% approval? I don’t recall seeing any. I planned on saying more but I got distracted and lost my train of thought. :-/
Ummmmm It would be wise to look at negative reviews as constructive criticism. And HazRPG made some good points too.

    • Sebasst

I agree with the above two people. (Just letting her see that there’s more people who think like these people.)

By the way, I think it’s a great song you produced there, it’s great to see also a creative side of you, that brings some more variation to the site, so keep making whatever you feel like, if some people want to do like they are suddenly the expert and comment bad about your work, then they shouldn’t be looking at it. They’re not forced to read it, they can stick to reading the other stuff they do like, right?

  • Rockabye

Also, the people who shower you with praise and kiss your butt regardless of what you say and do are the ones you should be weary of. It may make you feel nice (which I assume is their intention) but it doesn’t help you to improve yourself and it can even make u think you don’t need improvement. So overall, they do more harm than good.

    apt-get moo

    I like cows in my apt-get 🙂

  • checoimg

    yum install taz-daemon
