Zombies Turn Me On

More now than ever before! A couple months ago, I had the privelage of being in Seattle at for the PAX convention when they unveiled the pre-release demo of “Left 4 Dead”. I am a huge zombiephile. It started ever since I watched “Return of the Living Dead” with my baby bottle at my side in the 80′s…but that’s besides the point.

I have played and beat the game Dead Rising. (a newish xbox zombie game) However, in that game it always seemed like there was something missing. It was creepy don’t get me wrong, and a bit amusing at times,like putting a construction cone on a zombies head and watch as they hobble around moaning and scratching at their new plasticy cranium.. see below.

But I want that sense of danger, the bizarre realism in having our world as we know it, be turned upside down.

Valve (the makers of Half-life and Counterstrike) is the braaaaaains behind the Left 4 Dead operation and that pleases gun-toting, Half-life 1 playing little kid gamer in me. I can’t wait for the game to come out, and we’ll see if it pleases the Zombie lover in me.
